Thursday, August 24, 2017 · 8:00am - 5:30pm - Set-Up Rendezvous Camp at Hugh Glass Recreation Area - Shadehill, SD · Rendezvous participants are allowed to set up their camps at the Hugh Glass Park site. · Plein Air artists will also be on site painting their pieces - Hugh Glass Recreation Area - Shadehill, SD · 6:30pm – 8:30pm Closed Party Reception at the Grand River Museum, Lemmon, SD - Meet & Greet with Plein Air artists (painting wet sale to be held), special entertainment (singer Ken Raba permorms), hors d’oeuvres & beverages, and introduction to Hugh Glass Rendezvous events – Tickets $30/each (guests must present ticket for admission)
Friday, August 25, 2017 · 9:00am – 6:00pm – Open viewing of Hugh Glass Exhibit at Grand River Museum, Lemmon, SD · 9:00am – 4:00pm – Hugh Glass Youth Day for students. Educational experience for school tours. · All Day – Rendezvous at Hugh Glass Recreation Area - Shadehill, SD · Camping, cooking and other activities for Rendezvous participants dressed in period attire. · Throughout the day there will be demonstrations, contests, games & talks
Saturday, August 26, 2017 · 7 am Hugh Glass Dash, Race-day registration and packet pickup is at 7am MST; Race starts at 8am MST. Blacktail Trailhead (five miles south of Hugh Glass entrance on highway 73). · 9:00am – 6:00pm – Open viewing of Hugh Glass Exhibit at Grand River Museum, Lemmon, SD · 9:00am – 6:00pm – General Public invited to attend and view the Rendezvous grounds · 10:30am – Hugh Glass program · 11:00pm – Speaker (Grizzly Bear attack survivor) · 1:00pm – Raffle Drawings held & announced . 12:00 - Saint Larry's BBQ will serve a lunch at Hugh Glass Campground. · 1:30pm – Musical entertainment by Ken Raba · 1:00-4:00pm – Kid’s activities – including storytelling, games, & more · 2:00pm - Hugh Glass & Buffalo Jump Trek (scheduled guided treks from the Hugh Glass Park area to the Hugh Glass Monument, including interpretive talk by area historian – walking shoes advised) · All Day – Rendezvous at Hugh Glass Recreation Area - Shadehill, SD · Camping, cooking and other activities for Rendezvous participants dressed in period attire. · Black powder shoot and various contests · All Day – Visit the Buffalo Pen – amazing mounted buffalo to view and take photos. Sunday, August 27, 2017 · 8:00am - A non-denominational service will be held before the rendezvous camps are broken down and the 1st Annual Hugh Glass Rendezvous officially comes to a close · Noon – 5:00pm – Open viewing of Hugh Glass Exhibit at Grand River Museum, Lemmon, SD
